MDO MONTHLY SPEAKER NIGHT
3rd Tuesday of each month; September-December and March-May
(not held Jan-Feb due to weather)
Speaker Night features a speaker or panel, a Q&A session and refreshments.
Free and open to the public ... people with mood disorders, their loved ones and the interested public.  No registration required.

When:   3rd Tuesday of each month;  September through May (excluding Jan-Feb); 7:30p-9p, followed by light refreshment.
Where:  Southminster Church (15 Alymer Ave/near the Rideau Canal & Bank St.), 3rd floor, enter at the rear of the building. 
Limited free parking is available at the rear of the building and additional parking on side streets.

17Sep2019:  Raphaelle Laframboise- Carignan will be speaking about workplace accommodation, short term and long term disability and the Canada pension plan disability benefits.  Raphaelle Laframboise- Carignan is a bilingual lawyer who provides legal services in the areas of labour, employments, administrative, human rights, and disability law.


15Oct2019: Speakers from our Tell Your Story workshop will be presenting their personal recovery journeys. This is one of my favourite editions of Speaker Night. DISCOVERY 2000 EVENTS - SUBSIDIZED SOCIAL EVENTS
This year-round program provides several low-cost social events each month for members with mood disorders.  All are welcome to participate, however, only MDO members with paid memberships are subsidized.  Please bring your membership card or complete a membership form and fee payment at the event.  See below or newsletter or for current Discovery events.

5:00 –7:00 pm @ 61 York Street in the Byward Market

Sign in between 5pm-5:30p; max 40 Members —- Paid members fee $5.00

REGISTRATION OPENS ON SEPT 15TH - any calls/emails made prior to that date will not be accepted.  LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE - max 40 people

Show Night - screening of 1995s Empire Records with refreshments and movie trivia.
Wednesday, 25 Sep 2019.  Fee is by donation. 
MOVIE NIGHT CARDS - Get a $15.00 movie card for $3.00.
Paid MDO members only.  Use at any Cineplex theatre for admission or concession.  Cards do not expire.  Distribution is held monthly; MDO members are limited to one pass every 2 months (6 per year).  If you miss a distribution night, we don’t allow you to make up for the missed movie card.

No sign-up ... 1st Come/1st Served ... limit of 30 cards per month.

When:   6:00-6:45p, on the 1st Tuesday of every month, dates noted in Newsletter

Where:  World Exchange Plaza 2nd Floor, between Subway and Booster Juice
