Mood Disorders Ottawa

MDO is a registered nonprofit, volunteer-run organization
that supports people with mood disorders and their loved ones.

MDO PEER SUPPORT GROUPS

A safe, supportive place to be, surrounded by adults with a mood disorder who 'get it'.  A peer support group, for adults 18+ with mood disorders.  Please join us for a friendly, confidential discussion of mood disorder-related topics and personal issues.
VIRTUAL PEER SUPPORT GROUPS
While we are self-isolating and social distancing during this health crisis, MDO will be offering Virtual Peer Support Groups so we can support one another.

WHAT:    Phone or Video group chat with an MDO facilitator.
               Basic Peer Support Group format.
WHEN:  Tues and Thursdays, 6:30-8p, starting Thursday 26March.
HOW:    Signuphere
Participants will be sent instructions on how to join the chat by email.
WHO:    Everyone.
We encourage you to check out MDO membership here.

We will have a maximum number of participants per virtual group AND plan to have more than one facilitator and virtual group per evening if needed.
This is a tough time; we get that and would like to support our members.  We are reaching out to offer this virtual support; please bear with us as we iron out any kinks in this new system.

IN-PERSON PEER SUPPORT GROUPS - CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

WHERE:  new MDO location in CMHA building - 311 McArthur Ave/side entrance (bus route #14).

WHEN:  7:15pm-9:15pm; 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month, and the Wednesday of the in-between week (check the calendar for exact meeting dates).  We ask that participants try their best to arrive before 7:15pm to not  disrupt the flow of the meetings.

WHO:  You do not need to be a member of MDO to attend these informal gatherings, however we hope you may choose to support MDO at some point.  For more information, see our brochure or contact us (see top of page).
