Mood Disorders Ottawa

MDO is a registered, nonprofit volunteer-run organization
that supports people with mood disorders and their loved ones.

MDO PEER SUPPORT GROUP

A bi-monthly peer support group, for adults 18+ with mood disorders.

A safe, supportive place to be, surrounded by adults with a mood disorder who “get it".  Please join us for a friendly, confidential discussion of mood disorder-related topics.

The group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, and the Wednesday of the in-between week (unless the month begins on a Wednesday in which case we meet the 4th Wednesday ... best to check the calendar for exact meeting dates).  Meetings are held from 7:15-9:15p at CMHA/1355 Bank Street, 4th floor (follow the signs).

You do not need to be a member to attend these informal gatherings, however we hope you will choose to support MDO.  For more information, leave a message on the MDO Info-line or email us (see top of page).

We ask that participants try their best to arrive before 7:15, so as not to disrupt the flow of the meetings.

FAMILY TO FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP

This support group is based on the NAMI model and is facilitated by a NAMI volunteer teacher. A monthly family support group for adult relatives and friends of people with mood disorders.  Discussions are friendly and confidential.   The group meets on the third Thursday of each month ( December and July)  from 7:00-9:00pm at the Orleans United Church, 1111 Orleans Blvd. (at Fortune Blvd.). For more information about this support group, please contact Madeleine Bertrand at [email protected]
