Mom Peer Support

No matter the woman's story, motherhood is challenging. It is a road of change, physical, mental, and full of emotions, where many find themselves isolated, even if they are surrounded by people. This transitional period of a woman's life, can be even more so challenging for women who are going through postpartum depression/anxiety, have per-existing mental health and/or psychiatric conditions, that they have lived with for part of, or much of their lives. They may feel like they can only discuss a fraction of what they are experiencing, alone, and feel overwhelmed in ways that others may not understand if they were to share. A peer support group designated for mothers who mutually understand these unique challenges, is a safe space, to be open and talk about what they are living through, so they can know they are not alone in their experience, nor should they have to be.
